Today it was announced that Danny, from Custom Counts will get his reality TV show sometime in the Fall. This is at least the second spin off of Pawn Stars, as the first spin off was Rick Dale and American Restoration. Here is the web page link for Danny: http://www.countskustoms.com/ Good luck to Danny.
In the first episode of the night in which there are 2 new episodes, the first guy brought in a Colt Paterson prototype revolver. Rick thinks the gun prototype/model was the first revolver made. For more info on the Colt-Paterson gun: http://firearmshistory.blogspot.com/2010/06/revolvers-colt-paterson.html
Rick doesn't think the gun is not real. Time for an expert, Jimmerson from Utah. He said the name "Paterson" came from the city in New Jersey named Paterson and where the gun factory was built. Jimerson said the gun was not real because of the size and shape of the gun. No sale.
The next guy had a 1955 GMC hydromatic pick up truck. The truck was all white in color and was in rough shape- rust, a Fred Flintstone floorboard and some dented parts. The guy wanted $10,000 so time for Danny.
Danny came down and took the truck for a ride and it was a dangerous drive, to save the least.
The passenger door didn't close and the exhaust system was broke and he killed another car at the light. The truck was in very bad shape and Danny thought it was worth $0 because of the cost of repairs. No sale
The next guy brought in a limited edition of Tennessee Tuxedo, with a walrus looking like Chumlee, according to Corey.
It is a reproduction that was made in 1993. Corey wanted to buy the picture to keep because of the picture of Chumlee. The guy wanted $350 and Corey offered $225 and agreed to $250, the selling price.
The next guy brought in a Flamingo Hotel Apprasial book. The Flamingo is a casino on the Strip and it's not too bad of a casino and it is where Donna and Mari Osmond perform. It had pictures of the different areas at the old Flamingo. It also came with a map, showing the different old, blown up casinos. Corey offered $100, take it or leave it and that was the sale price. He said he would have fun for $100 in Vegas. $100 in Vegas, well, that is 1 dinner at the new Gordon Ramsey Steak steak house in the Paris Hotel.
In the 2nd episode, the first woman brought in a Smith and Wesson 320. It was in pretty rough shape. Rick
said the gun was shot as a rifle at times. The gun didn't sell well so they are pretty rare. The lady threw away the stock part of the gun. The lady wanted $5000. Time for an expert. Craig is the expert this time and he said the gun was a really bad design. Craig said the gun was rare and in bad shape. If the gun was in perfect shape, it would be worth $15,000 but the this gun was worth about $800-1000. Rick offered $800 and the lady wanted $1000 and then $900. Rick came back with $875 and that was the deal.
The next guy brought in an old railroad inspection mirror and some old railroad rail. The mirror was to look for cracks on the bottom side of the rail. The guy wanted $2000 and Rick came back with $50 offer. So, off to the museum the mirror goes.
The story line of the day is that Corey could not work night shift with Olivia, so Corey was the next choice.
So, on the night shift, a lady brought in some stuffed animals. The lady was a taxidermist. She had a turkey, and an African Hartebeest and a deer's butt with a bobcat and other animals head on the butt- like these
The lady wanted a total of $1275. Corey wanted only the deerbutt for $150 for it and nothing else. And $150 was the sale for the butthead.
African Hartebeest |
Chumlee had Johnny come down and Johnny said the magazines were worth about $300-400, total. The seller was a bit disappointed. Chumlee offered $100 and there was no sale.
So, that ends another week of Pawn Stars. I hope everyone stays safe and Happy 4th of July. Thanks for stopping by.
