More Obama/IRS scandals

From Wispolitics.com: The co-chairs of the Joint Finance Committee today called on GAB Director Kevin Kennedy to resign following a report the agency had been in touch with the IRS during a secret investigation into coordination between conservative groups and Gov. Scott Walker's campaign during the recalls.
"We have completely lost confidence that the GAB can be trusted to operate in a non-partisan manner for the citizens of the state of Wisconsin with Kennedy in charge," the co-chairs said in a press release. "In order for the GAB to return to its original mission, Kevin Kennedy must go."
The Wall Street Journal, in an unsigned editorial, cited emails between Kennedy and former IRS official Lois Lerner showing they were in regular contact between 2011 and 2013. The editorial also cited unnamed sources in reporting John Doe investigators asked the IRS to look into a conservative group that was a primary target in the probe. The paper reported the IRS did not appear to have followed up on that request.
“I am not going to dignify the Wall Street Journal’s opinion column with any comment, except to state that it contains no facts showing that I or the Government Accountability Board did anything inappropriate or out of the ordinary given the agency’s statutory responsibilities," Kennedy said in response. "I think any discussion about the structure or mission of the G.A.B. should be done through the legislative process."
Tensions between Republicans and the Government Accountability Board have been simmering since the 2011 recall elections, when the board decided to have the GOP senators targeted go first before their Dem colleagues who were also facing challenges. Conservatives have also knocked GAB for its role in the John Doe probe. That criticism ramped up in the fall in a dispute over ballot design. After the ballot issue, Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, declared Kennedy "has to go."

It's a sad day that the IRS has now become politicized by th eObama administration.
And Lois Lerner ought to be in prison instead of receiving a retirement pension.
