Another Cop Being Railroaded

From Arizona Central(Phoenix):
The Arizona State University officer accused of wrongfully arresting a university professor last summer is set to be fired on Wednesday, but he's fighting back.
Stewart Ferrin was given a termination notice last week based on the findings of an internal investigation conducted by the ASU Police Department.
"There's a couple things that our attorney is looking at and trying to figure out how and why," he said in an interview with 12 News. "I don't know, I don't think it meets the qualifications for termination."
Ferrin's termination stems from the May 20th arrest of Ersula Ore, an assistant English professor, who was stopped for jaywalking on College Avenue near Fifth Street.
A dashboard camera video of the arrest – which quickly went viral – shows the two struggling. Ore refused to show Ferrin an identification and then kicked him, according to the police report.
She later pled guilty to resisting arrest and was sentenced to nine months of probation.
Ore filed a $2 million claim against the university alleging false arrest, excessive force and civil rights violations. The FBI investigated Ferrin but the U.S. Attorney's Office declined to prosecute.
Ferrin said the arrest wasn't racially motivated.
"I can tell you flat out there's no racism involved in this whatsoever," he said. "I was an LDS missionary in Chile, a South American country. I was the white guy in Hispanic culture, so I know what it is to a certain extent to be a minority."
But Ferrin said he stands by decisions made during the arrest.
"I guess if I came into this situation again I would handle it a little differently but I stand by the decisions I made that night," he said.   http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/local/tempe/2015/01/18/asu-officer-fighting-termination/21942847/The only reason why this cop was fired is because the University decided to suck up to a loud mouth professor who is better standing up in front of a Jerry Springer audience rather than a lecture hall full of students.
It's sad that this supposed professor brought down this police officer, when the officer was just doing his job.
And the professor admitted that she was guilty of resisting arrest.
So, why does this Jerry Springer wannabe guest still have her job?
