O'Sheas casino on the Strip in Las Vegas closed today after a 23 year run and tonight they are going to blow up the 7 story parking garage.
From the Las Vegas Sun: O’Sheas is going out with a bang. Literally.
The 23-year-old Strip staple, famous for its beer pong and low-bet tables, closed its doors at noon today. Tomorrow morning, its 7-story parking garage will be imploded.
Caesars Entertainment shuttered the Irish-themed casino and is demolishing its garage to make way for the Linq project, a $500-million outdoor restaurant and entertainment district with an observation wheel centerpiece.
The 325,000-square-foot promenade will replace an alley between O’Sheas and the Flamingo, directly across the street from the company’s flagship, Caesars Palace.

I've been to O'Sheas a couple of times and it was a nice little casino and bar and it will be missed.
BTW, the observation wheel is a 550 ft. Ferris wheel, and no,I am not going to go on it.

Bummer, LOVE O'Sheas.
ReplyDeleteThe hiring of illegal aliens should be considered a crime in a city with high unemployment. Americans come first and there is no room for seconds during these gawd awful times. I guess ICE will be busy on this 550 million dollar construction project. Union officials should be held responsible along with contractors that turn their heads to this criminal activity of putting illegal aliens before American construction tradesmen and women.
