Pahrump Valley Times Left Wing Hate Continues

The editors at the Parhump Valley Times, a failing Pahrump NV. newspaper, really must hate Pahrump, Nye County and their customers.  Why else do they write editorials that are so hateful, lack facts and just lack intelligence and common sense that most people on the planet have?
The PVT has been on a crusade to get Nye County Assessor, Shirley Matson,  kicked out of office and once again, the PVT is on the losing end of this battle.
Matson had the gall to ask the sheriff of  Nye County to see if there any illegal immigrants working on the new Nye County courthouse.  Not a bad request since the courthouse is being built with taxpayer money.  Matson also has a problem with illegal immigrants and maybe legal immigrants as well.  But that is her right as a U.S. citizen.
So, first, the PVT tried to shame Matson into quitting.  Well, that failed because Matson refused to be intimidated by the quack and hate filled staff at the PVT.
Then some liberals of Nye County tried to get Matson recalled, but their effort failed miserably as they could not come close to getting enough signatures to force a recall.  Now, steam was coming out of the pin heads over at the PVT because they realized that the PVT message of hate was going no where in Nye County.
Then, ethics charges were filed against Matson and she was found guilty of 2 out of the 4 charges and is required to pay a $5000 fine.
Now the PVT haters are livid, how dare the State Ethics Commission not boot Matson from office?  Those bastards at the State refused to bow down to us college educated and smartest people in Parhump and Nye County.  We at the PVT know what is best for Nye County and if you don't believe it, just ask Matt Ward, leader of the hate filled herd over at the PVT.
From their latest editorial:
5,000.
If you wanted to know the price of making a complete jackass out of yourself in front of the entire Nye County officialdom, now you have it. That and attorney’s fees.
This is how much the state ethics commission decided to fine county Assessor Shirley Matson, who was found guilty yesterday of two out of four ethics charges filed against her.
She faced much harsher punishment had commissioners agreed on all the charges she faced. They could have asked a judge to sweep her from office.
That was probably too optimistic even if she were found guilty on all charges — after all, voters of Nye County elected Matson, and when given the chance to remove her after she bumbled into controversy, most just yawned.
Why should these five ethics commissioners do what voters refused to do?....
Whatever the case may be, our feelings all along are that Ms. Matson is an unstable individual with extreme right-wing prejudices and is likely over her head at the assessor’s office. When given the chance to remove a crazy person from office, our feeling is that it should be done post haste.
That’s our opinion.
Another viewpoint might be that more than half the voters in Nye County happen to not disagree with Ms. Matson’s virulent right-wing prejudices and don’t mind a bit of “wacky” representation in their life, no matter how important the office, no matter the real impact should the job be done improperly....

One looks around at some of the other elected officials in this county, past and present — we won’t name names — and really, is Matson all that bad? Ummm. Yes.
Example: When our teary-eyed elected official described going to Carson City by way of California because local wingnut “attorney” Nancy Lord told her someone might run her off the road, it made our collective temples throb, our cheeks blush with embarrassment. We already have big heaping bowls of incompetence stew around here. Is crazy an ingredient we really need?
We’ll pass on the “cracked” pepper, thanks....
The true fall guys for Matson, if there are any, are the people you passed on the road to work. The people in the grocery store shopping alongside you. Your neighbors. The people sitting with you at church and in the bleachers at the ball game. It’s both the residents over age 18 who can vote but don’t and the people who do vote, but who enjoy the taste of crazy.
Fortunately for us, and for Matson, there are other newsworthy items sure to keep us occupied for the time being. So long as Matson pays her fine on time, keeps her opinions out of her office and does the best job she is capable of doing, our best hope is that this sordid chapter in Nye County history fades into the ether.
Until, of course, voters get a chance to elect a new assessor, in which case we will dredge all this back up again and urge you to vote for the least crazy person at the polls.

So, according to haters at the PVT, the voters are the stupid ones, not the liberals at the PVT.  And there goes that term again, "wingnut".  If you don't think like the herd mentality over a the PVT and Nye County  liberals, you are a wingnut.  Hater, Matt Ward has called me a "wingnut", so I wear that badge with honor.
However, the PVT also said that over half of the voters of Nye County are right wing bigots.  That's a nice thing to say to your customers.
Once again, the PVT show's it's hate toward conservatives.  That is not a surprise.  The PVT employees haters, newspaper people who cannot find a real newspaper job.  They can only find pat time work at a newspaper that only publishes 1 or two times a week on the web.
No wonder the PVT has very few advertisements and probably for good reason.   My only question is this: Why would Albertsons Grocery store advertise on the hate filled PVT editorial page?  Why would Albertsons support hate?  Maybe we should ask them.
