Oh Oh: Reno Radio Station Plans Turkey

Could it be deja vue all over again?
From the Reno Gazette: The annual Turkey Drop to collect frozen turkeys and cash for the Salvation Army will be Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the west parking lot of the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa at South Virginia Street and Peckham Lane.
It is sponsored by News Talk 780 KKOH and the Atlantis.  http://www.rgj.com/article/20121127/NEWS/121127015/Turkey-Drop-Salvation-Army-donations-Wednesday-Atlantis?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|FRONTPAGE|s
Because the turkey drop involves the Salvation Army, the money is going to a very good cause.  If i had a choice between the Salvation Army and the Red Cross, I would chose the Salvation Army in a heart beat.  I used to work for a Salvation Army homeless shelter (yeah, you know us horrible conservatives, only looking out for the rich and screwing the poor).  I could tell that the Salvation Army pays it employees a very low wage, including it's officers and most of the money raised went directly to the people they serve.
The Red Cross, on the other hand, do have many highly paid employees and it seems that more of their money goes for other things- like advertising- than going directly to the people they have to serve.
So, good luck with the turkey drop and hope it doesn't go like this:
