Talk About Poor Timing

Just as our family is about to move out of Las Vegas, White Castle hamburgers is coming to Las Vegas.
From the LVRJ: The immensely popular White Castle burgers are finally finding a permanent home in Las Vegas.
The burger chain will open it’s first Las Vegas restaurant at the Best Western Plus Casino Royale, Eater confirmed on Tuesday.
The permit applications referenced a “future White Castle restaurant,” according to Eater, but an expected opening date was not listed.
While the Strip location would be the first brick-and-mortar White Castle location in the valley, Las Vegas is no stranger to the burgers. The famous sliders have a cult following that has turned up in droves at every Las Vegas Foodie Fest since last April, the first time White Castle participated in the event.
There are more than 400 White Castle locations. Currently, the closest restaurant to Las Vegas is in Cape Girardeau, Mo., more than 1,500 miles away.  http://www.reviewjournal.com/life/fooddining/white-castle-finally-coming-las-vegas
Now, if we only could get a Culvers.

  1. Thanks for this, Dan! I have been urging White Castle (along with a few other favorite restaurants like Donato's Pizza) to come to Vegas over the years. I actually got an answer from White Castle saying they were planning on coming here, but they didn't have a date. This is cool!

Meanwhile, where are you going? Was it something I said? Will you become a _______-Badger, or are you going to hang up your blogging?

  2. I had a White Castle in my hometown - it was a great place for lunch.

Dad used to go there too back in his teen years for belly busters (buying and consuming an entire bagful). So glad they're coming here - I missed the fresh taste of their sliders
