Two adults and a juvenile have admitted to shooting Officer Ricardo Galvez in an attempt to rob him, said Lt. John Corina of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Homicide detectives are not looking for any other suspects, he said, and detectives have recovered a handgun that they believe was used in the deadly shooting.
“They shot and they killed the officer,” Corina said. “That’s basically it. They admitted they were trying to rob him.”Galvez, who was on duty but not in uniform, was sitting in the driver’s seat of his car just after 11 p.m. Wednesday when two male suspects approached and opened fire, Corina said.
The assailants did not realize that Galvez was a police officer, Corina said.
Afterward, the two men got into a vehicle and fled, he said. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-downey-police-officer-killed-20151119-story.html
Too bad California doesn't have a death penalty, not that they would use it any ways.
And I am sure there are people in the terrorist group "black lives matter" who are celebrating the officer's death.
Meanwhile college punks around the country are angry that this officer's death has taken away the publicity the thug protestors crave on campus.
RIP Officer Galvez and prayers to your family and fellow police officers.
