The Las Vegas Sun, still bitter over the defeat of their puppet, Dina Titus, takes another cheap shot at Rep. Joe Heck. (I like the ring of that- Rep. Joe Heck)
Ethically and mentally challenged Sun writer, Delen Goldberg, bitterly complains that Joe Heck laid off 5 staff members when Heck had to close a consulting business because of conflict of interest.
From the ethically challenged Sun: Five days before being sworn in to represent Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District, Heck, a Republican, dissolved his consulting business, Specialized Medical Operations, and laid off its staff.
Running the company, which trained security companies, law enforcement and the military, presented a conflict of interest because the bulk of its business was government contracts. “There was no way we could figure out how to have personnel run it without me being integrally involved,” Heck said. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/jan/10/heck-lays-five-despite-priority-job-creation/
So, Heck tries to find a way to ethically keep the company, but can't because of ethics rules. If Heck kept the company and continued to get government contracts, he would have been accused of using his influence to get contracts and a conflict of interest. No matter what Heck did, he got criticized by the Sun. That is some serious unethical behavior. By the Sun.
Rep. Heck is losing money by becoming a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. He closed this company and can no longer practice medicine, except in the military.
So, Goldberg, I guess being an unethical Las Vegas Sun reporter must make you proud. But then, I am sure the editor of the Sun, Brian Greenspun must be proud of the way he runs the Las Vegas Sun. But I am also pretty sure that his father, Hank and his recently departed mother, Barbara would not be very proud of him. In fact, I am pretty sure they would disown him, if they could.
So, Sun and Goldberg, keep taking cheap shots and continue to look like the fools you are.
