From the Denver Post: Republican presidential nominee Mitt
Romney on Saturday delivered a closing argument to Colorado voters that
was equal parts inspirational message and criticism of President Barack
Obama.
Before a boisterous crowd of 17,000 at Comfort Dental
Amphitheatre — the largest crowd of the campaign for a Romney rally in
Colorado — Romney said Obama had failed to live up to his promises and
said he would break the gridlock in Washington.
"The question of the election comes down to this: Do you want more of the same or do you want real change?" Romney said.
From
the budget deficit, to job growth to economic recovery, Romney said
Obama had not accomplished what the nation needs. He said Obama would weaken the American military, and said "we may be looking at another recession."
By
contrast, Romney positioned himself as a practical problem-solver,
someone who would work with both parties to help the country.
"I won't just represent one party," Romney said. "I'll represent one nation."
Romney has been really been bringing the spectators in while Obama is struggling to gain an audience.
Obama came into Las Vegas earlier this week and only had about 3000 in attendance while Romney has been getting audiences of 10,000 or more. Obama needs stars like Bruce Springsteen and Katy Perry to attract an audience while Romney has no one of significance.
Meanwhile Obama is groveling to voters begging for votes, is getting desperate and is calling Romney and his voters names. Romney is talking about hope and change. (Crap, where have we heard that?)
So, who has the confidence and who is desperate?
