Why Some Obama Supporters Need Mental Health Help

Channel 13 Las Vegas ran a news story yesterday on President Obama's visit to Las vegas for the 10th time.
They interviewed an Obama supporter and she stated that "Obama was the greatest president ever."  And of course she said it is a worshipping type of voice.  For the story and video: http://www.ktnv.com/news/local/176857481.html   Channel 13 did edit this looney tune out of their video on their web site.
If anyone believes that Obama is the greatest president ever, has to have a mental illness.  To say that Obama is better than George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, JFK, FDR, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, Harry Truman and just about every other president in the U.S, history is delusional.
Hell, even the biggest narcissist ever to occupy the White House only ranks himself to be the 4th greatest president ever.
There are some people out there that just cannot be helped with reality.

  1. Whether President Obama is judged by history to have been a good president will be written after this election. If he gets a second term, and there are no enormous scandals or missteps, his chances of being regarded positively go up. I think he's better than average, personally. Certainly better than Bush, maybe below Clinton. But if he doesn't get reelected, and his accomplishments are immediately reversed, I think he'll be seen as having had an ineffectual presidency. At that point, you have to see how those REPEALS are viewed to know how Obama's presidency is regarded.

But I think he's going to win, so I think his rating will have a good shot at better than .500.

  2. As always, Jamie, thanks for your view point.
Better than .500? Wow, that's not saying very much.

  3. These are the "good" presidents that immediately jump to mind: Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, FDR, Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton, Teddy Roosevelt, Wilson, Eisenhower, Truman, LBJ. That's more than the top 25%. Obama could do well--any president could do well--to land between that and the 50% mark. LBJ and Reagan have some huge black marks in my book, but then all presidents have some negatives, no matter how good. And the Wikipedia gods disagree with me on Clinton (you might too!) but they all still rank him in the top half: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historical_rankings_of_Presidents_of_the_United_States
