Both are highly regarded in the media.

Well, clearly, Obama is not a business magnate.
He is not a technology genius, especially when it comes to e-mails.
However. Luthor and Obama do have things in common;
Tan suits.
Luthor is white.
Obama pretends he is white, except when he becomes a black racist.
Both pretend to be presidents.

Both are huge megalomanics

1. a person who is obsessed with their own power.
2.     a person who suffers delusions of their own power or importance.
3.     adjective

Both have a carefully crafted public persona.

Obama will have to find ways to avoid arrest after he leaves office- can he pardon himself?

Luthor wanted to kill Superman.

Obama wants to harm/kill everyone who threaten the United States, except muslims, border crossers, liberals, Democrats, people in the United States illegally, terrorists, atheists, gays etc, leaving only conservatives and Republicans he wishes to harm.

Obama donates money to parks, foundations and medical charities, except it's not through his own money but he uses taxpayer money and laws to support these groups.
So, Luthor and Obama do have a lot in common and not just the suits.
