Sooner or later, something like this was going to happen.
From the LVRJ:
A woman considered to be one of the top 50 offenders with the Metropolitan Police Department’s vice unit was indicted by a Clark County grand jury Wednesday on a felony larceny charge.
Camelia Terry, 31, who has at least 263 encounters with law enforcement in Las Vegas, including 122 arrests, and 29-year-old Sophia Hall each face one count of felony larceny and one gross misdemeanor count of conspiracy to commit larceny.
Prosecutor Nick Portz said that about 4 a.m. June 6, Terry, a known prostitute, accosted a tourist who had a bloody nose and was leaving the Aria, crossing the pedestrian bridge over the Strip. As Hall approached, Terry grabbed the man’s genitals, reached into his pocket and pulled out about $2,000 in cash that he had won at the casino, according to Portz.
The man gave chase as the women tried to flee, and they were arrested that same day, Portz said.
Terry has failed to appear for court more than 50 times, according to Portz, and she is among what’s known as Vice Enforcement Top Offenders.
Court records indicate that as far back as 2004 Terry has been charged with misdemeanors and felonies including soliciting prostitution, loitering for prostitution, theft, burglary, battery, larceny and trespassing.
Chief Judge Jennifer Togliatti issued a $75,000 arrest warrant for Terry, along with a $22,000 arrest warrant for Hall. http://www.reviewjournal.com/news/las-vegas/vegas-prostitute-250-plus-run-ins-law-indicted
This reminds me of Night Court when Judge Harry stone sentences the ladies of the evening to $50 and time served.
