Can We Finally ReName The Big Ten?

From ESPN: The University of Maryland's Board of Regents voted Monday to accept an invitation to join the Big Ten and begin competition in the conference in the 2014-15 academic year.
Meanwhile, Big East Conference sources told ESPN that Rutgers will be announced as the 14th member of the Big Ten on Tuesday.   http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/8651934/maryland-terrapins-join-big-ten-rutgers-scarlet-knights-join-well-sources-say
I don't know my math very well, for I am a special education teacher, but when there are 14 teams in a conference, the conference should cease to be called the Big 10.  Unless they call it the Big 10 and Little 4.  One, of course could argue that Northwestern, Illinois, Minnesota and Indiana could be called the little 4, but they do excel in some sports, like women's badminton...sorry- low blow.
And for me, it is stupid to add Rutgers and Maryland to the league.  What do they add to the conference, other than some easy football wins?  Are they good party towns/colleges?
The Big Ten used to be a conference of Midwest/Mideast colleges and decent party schools and now, they have expanded to the East Coast.  What's next?  Adding Oregon and UCLA?  How about UNLV?  At least they have a decent basketball team and a baseball team, something Wisconsin doesn't have (a baseball team) and it's a good party town.
Just stupid, plain stupid by adding these 2 schools.
