Another Small Business Owner That Obama Hates

In the past week, President Obama showed his disdain towards the small business owner when he said that small business owners owe their start up and  survival to government.
Today, the Las Vegas Sun shows us another one of those greedy small business owners: Carolyn Portuondo doesn’t sleep well. Most nights she lies awake in bed as her mind wanders to her bakery, Caked Las Vegas. She wonders about the air conditioner going out, losing cash flow and customers. Most of all, she worries about her dream coming to an end.
“Even though today I am successful and making money, you are always wondering, ‘What if I don’t get these customers next month?’” Portuondo said.
Portuondo opened her bakery in 2010. Next to her cash register, she framed a dollar — the first one Caked Las Vegas ever earned. It came on opening day, Feb. 10, after she sold a red velvet cupcake to an Allstate Insurance employee next door.
Since then, Portuondo has been featured on TLC’s “Cake Boss” in back-to-back years, accumulated a clutter of plaques for “Best Wedding Cake” and baked a cake for the opening of McCarran International Airport’s Terminal 3.
Business has been good. In fact, Portuondo is preparing to move next month to a larger location.

Also in the article: It seems simple enough. Making money is good, losing money is bad. Most first-graders running a lemonade stand can understand that. Everyone except liberals and Obama.
No where in the article did the word "government" get mentioned.  Maybe the reason Ms. Portuondo didn't need the government to succeed is that hard work, common sense and good business practices are the reasons for her success.  And any help the government did was because taxpayers like Portuondo paid her taxes and helped the government fund any kind of help.
Small businesses don't need the government but the government needs small businesses and business owners.
