Condi For Vice President?

Drudge is reporting that Condelezza Rice is being consider the front runner for the position of  GOP Vice President, on the same ticket with Mitt Romney.
From Drudge: **Exclusive**
Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, 'Meet The VP' -- just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal.
And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!
The timing of the announcement is now set for 'coming weeks'.

If true, Condi would be great addition to the GOP ticket.  Certainly, she would be smarter than Obama and Biden and probably Romney.  She also adds class to the ticket, which is certainly lacking in Obama and Biden.  She is also scandal free, which is again better than Obama/Biden.
But I suspect this is a trial balloon or a distraction.  I just don't think Rice would want to go through the election process where the liberals will lie and slander her reputation.  Then you have the liberal white racists who will say she should stay on the black reservation of liberalism because no black should think clearly and embrace conservatism.  These are the same white liberal racists that opposed Clarence Thomas and other black conservatives.
In the end, I hope she does go for the vice presidency because she would be an excellent choice and a vast improvement of what we have now.

  1. Interesting choice. She was part of the desperately unpopular Bush Administration. But black, and a woman. That's a crap-shoot if ever there was one. But is Romney brave enough to roll those dice?

  2. You are right, Jamie, she will be tied to the more popular than Obama presidency.
And I don't think Romney is brave enough to pull the trigger, so to speak.
