Happy Days Star, Erin Moran, Down On Her Luck

This is one, I don't understand.
From radaronline:Happy Days star Erin Moran is haggard, near-broke and living in a rundown trailer park!
The 51-year-old actress -- who won America’s heart as Richie Cunningham’s fresh-faced little sis Joanie on the hit ’70s sitcom -- has hit rock bottom after being evicted from her California home, sources tell the National Enquirer.
Moran's last acting gig was years ago and now she and her husband Steve Fleischmann are sharing a trailer with his elderly mother in the Berkshire Pointe Mobile Home Park in New Salisbury, Indiana.

“Life hasn’t been kind to Erin since the foreclosure of her home,” a family friend told The Enquirer. “She and Steve moved in with his ailing mother at the trailer park a few weeks back. Erin is like an angel to her mother-in-law. She cooks and cleans for her and takes care of her personal hygiene. But to look at Erin today you’d never know she was once one of TV’s biggest stars. Her peaches-and-cream complexion is a maze of wrinkles and crow’s feet. She’s aged terribly.”
Despite that, Erin -- who married Steve, 45, a former furniture mover, in 1993 -- is trying hard to maintain a good attitude, said the source.
“She’s been mingling with the locals and taking pictures with people who recognize her. She’s even frequented the local bar,” the source added.

Erin never seemed to get in to scandals, didn't seem like the type to do stupid things with her money or other things that make people go broke.  You would have thought she would have had enough money to pay cash for a house with plenty of money left over for expenses.
But something went so wrong that she got kicked out of her house and now is living with her mother-in-law in a trailer court.  It also seems like she may have cut ties with some of the Happy Day's cast as you would think people like Ron Howard would have thrown her a bone and hired her for some projects.
It is shocking to see this, and like most guys my age, yeah, I had a childhood crush on her when she first showed up on Happy Days.  Hopefully, she will be able to get it together, scrape some money together and buy a house.  She's seems like a nice person, so, hopefully she'll get to the top again.

  1. Not a lot of success for several of the Happy Days cast: Scott Baio, Donny Most, Anson Williams. . .and whatever happened to Richie's brother Chuck? :)

  2. Not quite. Scott Baio has been acting on and off for years. He was on "Diagnosis Murder" in the '90s, and the "reality" series, "Scott Baio is 45 and Single", and various guest starring roles.

Donny Most was doing voice acting for a while ("Dungeons & Dragons" & Fonz & The Happy Days Gang back in the 80s) and some bit parts.

Anson Williams is a working TV director, having worked steadily as such for over 20 years.

Gavin O'Herlihy is the son of screen actor Dan O'Herlihy. He did mostly film work after leaving "Happy Days" and even appeared in a reunion special.

  3. There was some evidence years ago --when she refused to go on a HD reunion show, then suddenly after that Howard Stern was interviewing her-- that I decided her elevator did not go to the top floor(s). How many drugs do you have to do before you notice YOU DON'T HAVE A HOUSE?
