Fed's Kill Another Industry, Force Layoffs And Say To The Poor- F-You

To do-ggoder congresscritters and President Obama have killed another, legal industry (until midnight) and will force businesses to close and people to lose their jobs.
From the LVRJ: A tiny amendment buried in the federal transportation bill to be signed today by President Barack Obama will put operators of roll-your-own cigarette operations in Las Vegas and nationwide out of business at midnight.
Robert Weissen, with his brothers and other partners, own nine Sin City Cigarette Factory locations in Southern Nevada, including six in Las Vegas, and one in Hawaii. He said when the bill is signed their only choice is to turn off their 20 RYO Filling Station machines and lay off more than 40 employees.
"We'll stay open for about another week to sell tubes and tobacco just to get through our inventory, but without the use of the RYO machines, we won't be staying open," he said....
"These cigarettes are different because there are benefits in saving money and in how they make you feel," said Amy Hinds, a partner who operates the Sin City Cigarette Factory at Craig and Decatur.
"These cigarettes don't have any of the chemicals in them, and the papers are chemical-free, unlike the cartons people buy from Philip Morris." http://www.lvrj.com/business/roll-your-own-cigarette-operations-to-be-snuffed-out-161539845.html
I am not a smoker- I hate being around people who do smoke, but I recognize that it is a legal product and some people enjoy smoking, just like I enjoy my liver sausage and mustard sandwich.
However, this stinks of big tobacco buying off some congressmen in order to eliminate a competitor .  Government, in this case has chosen a winner- big tobacco and a loser- the smoke shops.  Meanwhile, those people who have to smoke to get through life but are poor, now will be forced to buy cigarettes from big tobacco.  That's not how government is suppose to work.
But to smoker, Obama, it doesn't matter because he really doesn't care about the poor because he already knows they will vote for him.
So, thanks to congress, small businesses will close, people will be laid off because members of congress decided that they are the losers and big tobacco are the winners.  How pathetic is that?
